Kendrick Lamar's album "To Pimp A Butterfly" sold 363,000 equivalent album units (324,000 albums) in the first week of sales.  Kendrick was able to score high album sales despite an earlier than expected release date.  His first album, "good kid, m.A.A.d city" dropped in 2012 and sold 241,000 records.

According to TMZ , Lil' Twist and his friends were hanging out in Kyle's apartment in November, when Kyle and his brother kicked them out.  They returned and forced their way back inside the apartment and beat up Kyle's brother, Chris Massey, with brass knuckles.  Twist and crew also stole Chris Massey's cell phone and wallet. There is currently an arrest warrant out for Lil' Twist who faces up to 25 years if convicted on all accounts.  Maybe he will snitch on Lil' Wayne to secure a plea deal! Inquisitr has reports that Lil' Twist and Justin Bieber have had a rocky relationship.  Twist has racked up a DUI arrest while driving one of Justin's cars.  Bieber's people have attempted to strong-arm the singer into cutting ties with Twist after a series of incidents. Radio reports that J. Cole leads a slave uprising in his new video G.O.M.D.  Cole is filmed on a plantation where he incites a slave revolt.  The video was directed by Lawrence Lamont who also directed Big Sean's video for IDFWU. The video depicts the divide between the house slaves and field slaves.  Despite Cole being a house slave, he still is able to lead a revolution from the inside.  This heartfelt video could be connected to Cole's involvement with the city of Ferguson following the Michael Brown incident.

Drake - Homecoming Fresh off the success of his most recent album: If You're Reading This It's Too Late ,  Drake is not showing any signs of slowing down.   RealTalkNY  reports that Drake's film, "Homecoming" will hit theaters on March 19. Complex reports that the film will feature never before seen footage from Drizzy's 2009 show at Toronto's Sound Academy.  The movie was filmed prior to Drake signing with Lil' Wayne and features Jas Prince and Bun B. Drake is one of the few artist that has been able to claim two 'homes'.  This may be one of the benefits of being from another country.  Drizzy reps Toronto of course yet he has always shown a massive amount of love for Houston. So Help Me God Kanye's album cover for his So Help Me God  LP will be a 13th century monastic symbol for the Virgin Mary.  Could this album be dedicated to his Mother? Ye's last release was Yeezus  and the Virgin Mary is the mother of Jesus, of course.  Or could Kanye be celebrating Motherhood in general? Since North was born, Kanye must really appreciate Kim K. more than ever.  She provided him with one of the few things that he could not obtain by himself.  Or the album cover could have focused on baby North alone.  God has made the Virgin Mary the most exquisite creatures in all the universe and the devil has never been able to touch her.  Kanye would certainly wish to keep baby North away from the D'evils and he may have symbolized this wish on the cover of his new album.
