Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp A Butterfly - Out Now





Kendrick Lamar's album "To Pimp A Butterfly" sold 363,000 equivalent album units (324,000 albums) in the first week of sales.  Kendrick was able to score high album sales despite an earlier than expected release date.  His first album, "good kid, m.A.A.d city" dropped in 2012 and sold 241,000 records.

The NFL Hall of Famer did his best I’m not Black I’m OJ Simpson impression by going on Twitter to chime in on Colin Kaepernick’s refusal to stand during the singing of the National Anthem at NFL games.  “All lives matter,” tweeted Rice. “So much going on in this world today.Can we all just get along! Colin,I respect your stance but don’t disrespect the Flag.” The additional irony here is Rice quoting Rodney King, whose brutal beatdown was caught on tape, yet the all the officers were acquitted. This of course led to the infamous L.A. riots. Was Rice aware of this when choosing his words? We’re going to guess not. Rice also says he respects Kaepernicks stance—but can he really do so while saying “all lives matter”? Biggie is a mainstay in most people’s Top 5, but the one drawback for many is that he only dropped two albums and doesn’t have much material floating around otherwise. But Tim Westwood just gave the world a gift this week. The UK DJ and radio personality unearthed rare audio and video of Brooklyn’s finest doing his thing. First there’s a clip of him going back and forth with former Bad Boy label mate Craig Mack. Then there’s video of him rocking a crowd across the pond.
