Bobby Shmurda: Crack Rap

Crack rap
What was it about Bobby Shmurda that made us believe everything he said? Was it his delivery? That BK that he repped so well? Or was it the fact that every line he spit seemed to jump at you as if he had just finished snorting a line.  That same vengeance that DMX once blessed the world with was seen in everything that Shmurda dropped.  Some say that his flow was more Down South than it was NY yet he came with the same hype that Craig Mack and Busta once brought to the game.  That fire behind every word that will have you bouncing off your living room walls.  That bang that made you want to fight anyone that glanced at you on the metro.  That crack rap that often made us question the habits of the person delivering it.

Biggie’s 4th Commandment
Shmurda often brags about the fact that he has been slanging drugs since 5th grade.  When it is all said and done, Shmurda did not listen to Big.  Big’s 4th Commandment is never get high on your own supply.  By the way, was Jeezy high on his own supply when he brought us ‘Who Dat?’ Yes, crack brought us the Shmoney dance and I cannot stop listening to Bobby B**** but it also leads people to ‘rapping’ too much and mentioning things that you do not need to be speaking about (like how many bodies your click claims).  Shmurda is one of the few rappers that does not need a background check.  Something about Bobby just tells me that he really sold drugs since the 5th grade.

Free Bobby Shmurda

Where does this leave us? After Hot N**** and Bobby B****, B. Shmurda was arguably on his way to bring NY back.  Some positive news for Shmurda is that he was able to avoid any accusations of murder unlike his label mate Rowdy Rebel who was charged with one count of attempted murder in the second degree.  Shmurda is currently being held in Rikers, hopefully he is released soon to release more of that crack music!
