Bronx Man Arrested In Vermont With 1,400 Bags Of Heroin In His Butt

Authorities in Vermont arrested a Bronx man Tuesday (March 29) after he was found with tons of heroine bags hidden in his rectum. Fernando Estrella, 41, was originally pulled over for speeding and other driving infractions.

A drug-sniffing dog alerted Vermont State Police to continue searching the 2012 Chrysler Mini Van that Estella was driving. Cops recovered a heroin needle and cooking cap, though no drugs were found in the vehicle.

Estrella was then taken to a hospital and a warrant was obtained for a cavity search. Approximately 1,428 heroine bags were found hidden in three condoms inside his rectum.

Estrella faces felony charges for heroine possession, trafficking and importation, as well violating the conditions of his release from a 2015 cocaine bust.
