Cohen becomes YouTube’s Global Head of Music and will work on behalf of the network to secure new streaming deals between record labels and artists. As reported by Complex , Cohen, who founded and was the CEO of the 300 Entertainment label, will be phasing out of the position by the end of the year. He sill maintains ties to 300 as he was the label’s largest investor. Complex notes that Google, Cohen’s new parent company by way of YouTube, also contributed heavily to the venture. A replacement for Cohen’s position is underway. In an upcoming interview, Parker says he was “falsely accused” of rape and has no intentions of apologizing for what happened in 1999. As reported exclusively by the Associated Press , Parker sat down with CBS’ 60 Minutes program and was interviewed by Anderson Cooper for the segment. The AP was able to view the taped interview ahead of its airing this coming Sunday, and the most explosive takeaway was Parker denying any wrongdoing. The former Bad Boy recording artist and music producer plead guilty to tax evasion in New Jersey on Thursday (Sept. 29) morning.  Reports Page Six : R&B artist Mario Winans, 42, copped to two misdemeanor counts of failure to file tax returns before Justice Esther Salas in federal court in Newark. Winans, who won a Grammy Award for Best Gospel Performance for co-writing his nephew CeCe Winans’ song “Pray,” faces up to two years in federal prison when he is sentenced on Jan. 24. Diddy was featured on the hit song “I Don’t Wanna Know,” which was written by Winans. Prosecutor Joseph Mack charged that Winans did not pay taxes for income totaling $2.8 million for five straight years from 2008 to 2012. He pleaded guilty to tax years 2008 and 2010. Rettke also handed out bananas with nooses tied around them to Black protestors who peacefully gathered Wednesday afternoon. Chavis plead guilty to recruiting underage girls to appear in his music videos, and he was just sentenced to 15 years in the bing.  The struggle rapper plead guilty to conspiracy to produce child pornography. The sentence could have been even worse. Reports the Columbus Dispatch : It could have been much worse for Eric D. Chavis, 24, of the Southeast Side. “If the victims were young children, probably the number would be much higher,” U.S. District Judge Michael H. Watson told Chavis at his sentencing on Tuesday. The girls in Chavis’ videos were 16 and 17. Watson stuck with the 15-years sentence that the prosecution and defense agreed on when Chavis pleaded guilty in June to conspiracy to produce child pornography.
