Geraldo Rivera loves when his name is mentioned, so he wasted no time in responding to Kendrick Lamar’s reference to him on “YAH” from the DAMN. album.

Fox News reporter and life-long finger-pointer Geraldo Rivera has had an issue with Kendrick Lamar ever since he stood on top of a cop car and performed “Alright” at the 2015 BET Awards.

Rivera responded to the performance saying that it was sending the wrong message on the heels of the handful of police killings that year. Reminder, police officers were doing the killings, not rappers.

Anyways, Kendrick only responded once back then saying that Rivera was twisting his words. Now, two years later Kendrick referenced him again on his song “YAH” where he used a clip from the Fox News telecast were Geraldo made his statements and referenced him directly. He rapped:

Interviews wanna know my thoughts and opinions
Fox News wanna use my name for percentage
My latest muse is my niece, she worth livin’
See me on the TV and scream: “That’s Uncle Kendrick!”
Yeah, that’s the business
Somebody tell Geraldo this nigga got some ambition

Geraldo didn’t go out and buy or listen to Kendrick’s album, but, he was told that he was name dropped in the song. Which is why he took to his podcast to speak on it. Rivera starts off by praising Rivera as the best rapper out, besides Drake. Then he goes on to reiterate his stances of Kendrick’s 2015 performance being irresponsible and attempting to blame Hip-Hop for the struggles in Black America, again.

He did insist that he doesn’t have any beef with Kendrick, he just disagrees with his actions.

If you can stomach it, watch Rivera’s response below.
